 101 Die in train No. 1 and No. 4 collision in Dutchman's Curve, Nashville, Tennessee, United States. 171 more were injured in what was to be 'The Great Train Wreck of 1918'. The cause of the accident was due to serious errors by the crew of train No. 4 and tower operators, all of whom failed to properly account for the presence of the train No. 1 on the line.
