Collier's last meal request was for 30 jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce, a baked potato, French fries, a T-bone steak, a chocolate malt, one gallon of vanilla ice cream and three cans of Big Red. He was given fried fish, chicken fried steak, baked potato and ice cream. Collier's last words were "The only thing I want to say is that I appreciate the hospitality you guys have shown me and the respect. And the last meal was really good. That is about it."

King of Thailand Rama VIII born as Phra Bat Somdet Phra Poramentharamaha Ananda Mahidol Phra Atthama Ramathibodindara aka Ananda Mahidol dies of a gunshot in the forehead at the age of 21 in Phra Thinang Boromphiman, Siwalai Garden, Bangkok, Central Thailand, Thailand. The circumstances of Rama VIII's death or his eventual murder have never been clear.
