Journalist, writer and political activist Iris Shun-Ru Chang commits suicide by a shot in his mouth at the age of 36 in Bear Creek Road, Los Gatos, California, United States. The day before Chang bought an ivory-handled Ruger 'Old Army' .45 replica revolver at Reed's Sport Shop in San Jose.
