According to one story while Pope Clemens V's body was lying in state a thunderstorm developed during the night and lightning struck the church where his body lay, igniting the building. The fire was so intense that when it was extinguished, the body of Pope Clement V was almost destroyed.

		Lutheran pastor Oskar Brüsewitz known for his protest against the repression of religion in the Communist state of East Germany 30 May 1929 (+) is born in Vilkyčiai, Lithuania. 22 August 1976 (-) dies of of his severe burns due to his self-immolation on 18 August 1976 in front of his church in Zeitz, Germany.
