The day before Martinović shot and killed four people after a bar brawl, then moved to another location, killing four more people, then again moved to two more locations, where he killed two children and two adults. After being surrounded by police Martinović shot himself in the head near his home and died while being transported to a hospital. It was said the shooting was a "consequence of disturbed interpersonal relations".
