Goetz was hit on the head with a club, slashed in the stomach and thrown out of a train. She recoverd in hospital but remembered nothing about her attacker.

Sunday 5th of January 1941 (-) — Victim of Paul Ogorzow aka Der Schnell-Bahn Mörder Hedwig Ebauer is attacked and thrown out of a train by Paul Ogorzow aka Der Schnell-Bahn Mörder
Ebauer was then five months pregnant. Ogorzow had unsuccessfully attempted to strangle her before throwing her from the train alive. Ebauer succumbed to her injuries later that day in the hospital, never regaining consciousness.
