1. Wednesday 6th of January 1960 (-) — Mass murderer Julian Frank detonates a bomb on National Airlines Flight 2511
   Frank had taken a life insurance for almost one million dollars, payable to his wife, to take care of a money deal that went wrong. His body was eventually found sixteen miles away at a place called Snow's Marsh west of the Cape Fear River. An autopsy showed that he had been fatally injured by a dynamite explosion originating either in his lap or (more likely) immediately under his seat. All other 33 on board were killed as well.
