Monday 6th of January 1986 (x) — Double murderer John Cavaness is sentenced to death for the murder of his 22 year old son Sean on 13 December 1984 in a scheme to collect $148,000 in insurance benefits.
He also killed his 22 year old son Mark Dale on 7 April 1977. At the time Cavaness collected $40,000 on an insurance policy on Mark`s life.
