Friday 6th of September 1991 (-) — Serial killer Donald Henry Gaskins is executed by Old Sparky
Only hours before he was escorted to the electric chair Gaskins tried to commit suicide by slitting his wrists with a razor blade he had swallowed the previous week, then coughed up.
Friday 4th of October 1996 (-) — Kidnapper and multiple murderer Larry Bell is executed by Old Sparky
Bell was especially infamous because he forced his victims to write a 'Last Will and Testament' before they were murdered and taunted their parents by telephone.
Friday 13th of June 1997 (-) — Murderer Michael Elkins is executed by lethal injection
Because Elkins' body had become swollen from liver and spleen problems it took nearly an hour to find a suitable vein for the insertion of the catheter. Elkins tried to assist the executioners asking "Should I lean my head down a little bit?" as they probed for a vein. After numerous failures a usable vein was finally found in Elkins' neck.

Owens' last meal request was for two cheeseburgers, some french fries, a well-done ribeye steak, six chicken wings and two strawberry sodas as well as a slice of apple pie.
