Maudsley and another resident, David Cheeseman, locked themselves in a cell with convicted child molester Francis and tortured him to death over a period of nine hours.
Friday 23rd of February 1996 (x) — Convicted robber Paul Wilson tries to strangle Serial killer Peter Sutcliffe with the flex of a headphone
Stockwell Strangler Kenneth Erskine and murderer Jamie Devitt came to rescue Sutcliffe.
Monday 10th of March 1997 (x) — Serial killer Peter Sutcliffe is stabbed in both eyes with a Parker Rollerball pen by Ian Kay aka The Woolworth Killer
Sutcliffe lost the vision in his left eye and his right eye was severely damaged.
Saturday 22nd of December 2007 (x) — Serial killer Peter Sutcliffe is stabbed in the face by fellow inmate Patrick Sureda with a metal cutlery knife while shouting "You fucking raping, murdering bastard, I'll blind your fucking other one"
Sutcliffe, already blind in one eye after a previous attack, flung himself backwards and the blade missed his right eye, instead stabbing him in the cheek.
Thursday 9th of August 2007 (-) — Spree killer Daniel Gonzalez commits suicide by cutting himself with the edges of a broken CD case in his prison cell
Whilst awaiting trial at Broadmoor Hospital Gonzalez tried to bite himself to death and was viewed as being so dangerous that officers would accompany him in riot gear.
Friday 16th of July 2010 (x) — A High Court decides that Serial killer Peter Sutcliffe will never be released during his lifetime
Sutcliffe was given 20 life terms in 1981 for thirteen murders and seven other attacks. In prison he changed his name to Peter Coonan.
