Thursday 30th of December 1999 (x) — Guitarist and singer-songwriter George Harrison is attacked with a kitchen knife by 34-year-old paranoid schizophrenic Michael Abram in his home.
Harrison was hospitalised with more than 40 stab wounds and part of his punctured lung was removed. Harrison released a statement soon afterwards regarding his assailant: "He wasn't a burglar and he certainly wasn't auditioning for the Traveling Wilburys."
