Along with her lover Carl Hall the two were allowed to hold hands for a moment and they kissed goodbye. They were blindfolded, led into the chamber and strapped into adjacent chairs. Heady said "Are you doing all right, honey?" Hall replied "Yes, mama."

For his last meal Brown had the same as the prison staff, soup, crackers, fried beaf steak, french fries, buttered noodles, spinach, biscuits, coffee, milk and cookies.

Sunday 2nd of July 1961 (-) — Victim of Charles Ray Hatcher aka Evil Incarnate Jerry Tharrington is raped and stabbed to death by Charles Ray Hatcher aka Evil Incarnate
Tharrington was found on the prison’s kitchen loading bay. Hatcher was the only kitchen crew member who was missing at the time of the murder. He was sent to solitary confinement but there was not enough evidence to convict him in court.

Reynolds had been imprisoned since 2 January 1980 for the murder of 4-year-old Eric Christgen on 27 May 1978.

Hatcher hung himself with a piece of electrical wire in Unit 5C, Cell 213.
