  1. Monday 27th of February 1730 (x) — Start of the trial against Soldier and adventurer Francis Charteris for the rape of Anne Bond on 10 November 1729
    The jury quickly found Charteris guilty. On 2 March, he was sentenced to death and held in Newgate Prison. On 10 April 1730 after a substantial campaign to pardon Charteris, joined by Anne Bond, King George II granted him a royal pardon.
