On 20 April 1934 John Dillinger's gang, consisting of Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, Homer Van Meter, Tommy Carroll, and John "Red" Hamilton settled at Little Bohemia Lodge after Dillinger's escape from the jail in Crown Point, Indiana on 3 March 1934. They were tracked down by FBI agents Melvin Purvis, W. Carter Baum and Jay Newman among others.

Tuesday 12th of August 1924 (x) — Boxer Norman Selby kills his 39-year-old lover Theresa Mors by a single gunshot to the head.
The next morning Selby robbed and held captive some 12 people at Mors' antique shop and shot one man who was trying to escape in the leg. He also had forced at least six other men to remove their trousers after divesting them of their money.
