Day had been under the death sentence since 1951 and was hanged for the murder of Lee Mak Chun in Seoul on 30 December 1950. Serving in Korea, Day had made sexual advances to Chun's wife. When Chun came to her defense Day shot him dead.

Wednesday 22nd of December 1971 (-) — Victim of Gustaaf Van Eyken aka De Vampier van Muizen Ida Van Isacker-Smeets is raped, tortured and strangled by Gustaaf Van Eyken aka De Vampier van Muizen.
Van Eyken wanted to rape Van Isacker but he couldn't so he strangled her. Then he went home to eat. Upon returning to finally rape her she was still alive. Van Eyken mutilated and strangled her again.
