Wednesday 8th of June 1994 (x) — Serial killer Joel Rifkin is sentenced to 27 1/3 years imprisonment for the murder of 22-year-old Tiffany Bresciani
Rifkin was sentenced to 25 years to life on the murder charge. A 2 1/3 to 7 year sentence was tacked on for reckless endangerment of the police officers Rifkin led on a wild chase before they finally stopped him on a Long Island highway and discovered Bresciani's body in his pickup truck. After his arrest Rifkin stunned police when he admitted strangling 17 other women and dumping their bodies throughout the New York metropolitan area.
