In July Innocentius VIII fell into a fever. He was said to have been given the world's first blood transfusion by his Jewish physician Giacomo di San Genesio, who had him bathe in the blood of three 10-year-old boys. The boys subsequently died.

Despite an extensive manhunt and protracted FBI investigation D.B. Cooper has never been located or identified. The case remains the only unsolved air piracy in commercial aviation history.
