Laak emigrated to Canada after World War II and exposed as living as a naturalized Canadian citizen under the name of Alex Laak. Israeli journalist Michael Elkins claimed that Laak was in fact confronted one day after his wife had left their house to go to the movies by a Jewish Avenger squad that clandestinely murdered Nazis. He was confronted with his crimes and their intended punishment and he accepted their offer of being allowed to commit suicide rather than be killed. (6 September 1960)

Tuesday 11th of July 2006 (x) — Seven pressure cooker bombs exploded at or in the near vicinity of the suburban railway stations of Matunga Road, Mahim Junction, Bandra, Khar Road, Jogeshwari, Bhayandar and Borivali. Approximately 714 people were injured. On 14 July terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Qahhar claimed responsibility for the bombings.
