That same day Jones coaxed 910 inhabitants of Jonestown including 303 children into a mass suicide by drinking cyanide-laced grape-flavored Flavor Aid. At the end of a 45-minute recording made during the mass suicide, Jones concluded: "We didn't commit suicide; we committed an act of revolutionary suicide protesting the conditions of an inhumane world." Wednesday 4th of October 1978 (x) — Singer-songwriter Tammy Wynette is supposedly kidnapped and terrorized by an unidentified masked man, physically assaulted and abandoned 80 miles away. In her 2000 memoir Wynette's daughter Jackie Daly published that her mother had confessed to her that the kidnapping was a hoax to cover up domestic violence from her fifth husband George Richey. Richey denied the allegation.
