Ceaușescu and his 70-year-old wife Elena had been sentenced to death by a People’s Court. The Ceaușescus were executed by a gathering of soldiers including Captain Ionel Boeru, Sergeant-Major Georghin Octavian and Dorin-Marian Cîrlan. (25 December 1989)

Sunday 2nd of January 1955 (-) — President of Panama José Remón Cantera is fired upon at a race track by an unknown revolutionary commando with sub-machineguns. Remón died in hospital two hours later. Two other men including one of Remón's bodyguards were also killed in the attack.
