Because King Albert I was an expert climber some questioned the official version of his death and suggested that the King was murdered (or even committed suicide) somewhere else and that his body had never been at Marche-les-Dames, or that it was deposited there. In 2016 DNA testing on bloodstained leaves collected from Marche-les-Dames concluded that King Albert I died at that location. (17 February 1934)

Wednesday 25th of November 1987 (x) — Victim of Thierry Paulin aka Le Tueur de la Pleine Lune Berthe Finalteri is attacked and tortured by Thierry Paulin aka Le Tueur de la Pleine Lune. Finalteri unexpectedly recovered and was able to give an accurate description of her attacker, "a mix-race man in his twenties, with hair like Carl Lewis and an earring in his left ear".
