Saturday 18th of February 1967 (-) — Theoretical physicist Robert Oppenheimer dies of throat cancer. Oppenheimer was diagnosed with throat cancer in late 1965 and underwent unsuccessful radiation treatment and chemotherapy. He fell into a coma on 15 February 1967.
