Hausner was severely wounded in the explosion of the German Embassy in Stockholm on 24 April with burns to over 40% of his body and a fractured skull. Despite the recommendations of Swedish doctors Hausner was immediately flown back to West Germany and hospitalized in Stammheim Prison which had neither the equipment or specialist staff to treat severe burns.

Kearney was charged with twenty-one counts of murder and as agreed pleaded guilty.
Thursday 9th of January 1992 (x) — Serial killer William Suff is arrested after a routine traffic stop.
In Suff's Mitsubishi van a police officer found a bloody knife and objects believed to be related to 12 or more killings between 1989 and 1991.
Thursday 26th of October 1995 (x) — Serial killer William Suff is condemned to death for 12 murders.
Suff resides on death row at San Quentin State Prison.
Wednesday 19th of July 1995 (x) — Serial killer William Suff is found guilty of killing 12 women and attempting to kill another though police suspected him responsible for as many as 22 deaths.
It was alleged that Suff once used the breast of one of his victims in a chili contest and won.
