Tuesday 2nd of March 1982 (-) — Science fiction writer Philip K. Dick dies of complications from a stroke. Dick had suffered a stroke five days earlier and was disconnected from life support after his EEG had been consistently isoelectric since losing consciousness.
Thursday 21st of January 1999 (x) — Serial killer Gerald Parker is sentenced to death by lethal injection plus life without possibility of parole plus 64 years in prison. In 1978 and 1979 Parker raped and murdered five women. He also attacked a sixth woman who was pregnant, she survived but her child was stillborn.
