Clark, sitting in the front room of the apartment with a shotgun in his lap, was on security duty. The first shot hit Clark in the heart. He died instantly and his gun went off as he fell. His gun fired a single round which was later determined to be caused by a reflexive death convulsion after the raiding team shot him; this was the only shot the Panthers fired. (4 December 1969)

Wednesday 30th of June 1971 (x) — 43-year-old commander Georgy Dobrovolsky, 38-year-old test engineer Viktor Patsayev and 37-year-old flight engineer Vladislav Volkov are found dead upon returning in their Soyuz 11 after breaking the record of staying in space for 23 days. The three crew members of Soyuz 11 are the only humans known to have died in space.
