There is reason to believe that Delacroix' father Charles-François was infertile at the time of Eugène's conception and that his real father was Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord who was a friend of the family and successor of Charles Delacroix as Minister of Foreign Affairs and whom the adult Eugène resembled in appearance and character.

 27-year-old mass murderer Cevdet Yılmaz shoots six people to death for mocking his Dutch naturalisation in 't Koetsiertje, Delft, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. The dead were Ton Smits, Wim van Baarle, Jan van Drongelen, Wim Janssen, Tonie Sneekes and 12-year-old Carmen Sneekes. Four other people were injured. |
