Victim of D. C. Stephenson aka The Grand Dragon of the Realm of the Indiana Ku-Klux-Klan Madge Augustine Oberholtzer commits suicide by mercury bichloride-poisoning at the age of 28 in Hamilton, Ohio, United States.

On 15 March Oberholtzer was savagely raped by The Grand Dragon of the Realm of the Indiana Ku-Klux-Klan, David Curtis Stephenson. An examination of Oberholtzer's body later revealed deep bite wounds were on her face, neck, breasts, back, legs, ankles, and tongue. She died from a staph infection from the bites plus kidney failure from the mercury poisoning.
