Illegalist Jules Bonnot aka Le Bourgeois known from ‘La Bande à Bonnot’ is riddled with bullets in a shootout with police officers at the age of 36 in Choisy-le-Roi, Île-de-France, France.

After sporadic firing failed to extract Bonnot from his hideout, Paris Police Chief Louis Lépine ordered the building bombed using a dynamite charge. The explosion demolished the front of the building. Barely conscious lying underneath a mattress, Bonnot was shot ten times in the upper-body before Lépine shot him non-fatally in the head. Bonnot was moved to the Hotel-Dieu hospital and pronounced dead at 1:15 pm.

Assassin Gavrilo Princip aka The Teenager who Changed the World known for the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria dies of tuberculosis at the age of 24 in Terezin, Ústí nad Labem, Czechoslovakia.

At the time of his death Princip weighed around 40 kilograms, weakened by malnutrition and disease. His body had become wracked by skeletal tuberculosis that ate away his bones so badly that his right arm had to be amputated.

Leader of the Italian National Fascist Party Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini aka Il Duce is executed by Walter Audisio with a machine gun at the age of 62 in Villa Belmonte, Via XXIV Maggio, Giulino di Mezzegra, Lombardia, Italy.

In the evening the bodies of Mussolini, his mistress Clara Petacci and other executed Fascists were loaded onto a van and trucked south to Milan. On arriving in the city in the early hours of 29 April, they were dumped on the ground in the Piazzale Loreto. The corpses were pelted with vegetables, spat at, urinated on, shot at and kicked. Mussolini's face was disfigured by beatings. After a while the bodies of Mussolini, Petacci and others were hoisted up on to the metal girder framework of a half-built Standard Oil service station, and hung upside down on meat hooks.
