At age 8 Ruth Kathyrn Elliott was adopted by the Harmons in Fullerton who had lost their own daughter to disease. The Harmons renamed her after their deceased daughter and thus Ruth became Rosemary. (15 December 1930)

Friday 30th of April 2010 (-) — Planespotter and journalist Levent Bergkotte stabs to death 37-year-old Alastair Whewell, pilot of the Piper Cherokee PA-28 they were flying, and shuts down the engine of the sports plane to make it crash. Bergkotte left a farewell letter to his wife in his hotel room.
