Budd was taken to Wisteria Cottage in White Plains and murdered, cut to pieces and eaten by Fish. In November 1934 Fish sent a letter to Mrs Budd describing how he killed and ate Grace, "It took me 9 days to eat her entire body".

The plane ran off the end of the runway and burst into flames. Two flight attendants seated in the back of the cabin survived the crash and fire. A third flight attendant survived the disaster but later died in hospital. Andy Warhol painted his first 'disaster painting', '129 Die in Jet!' based on the 4 June 1962 cover of the New York Mirror, the day after the crash. At that time, the death count was 129.

40-year-old Andy Warhol aka The Pope of Pop is shot by radical feminist writer Valerie Solanas in The Factory, 231 East 47th Street, New York, Manhattan, New York, United States.

Solanas fired three times. She missed twice, but the third shot went through Warhol's both lungs, his spleen, stomach, liver, and esophagus. She then shot art critic Mario Amaya in the hip. She tried to shoot Warhol's manager Fred Hughes in the head but her gun jammed. "I consider that a moral act. And I consider it immoral that I missed. I should have done target practice."

The British Government stated that Gaughan died of pneumonia; his family insisted that he died after prison doctors injured him fatally when food lodged in a lung punctured by a force-feeding tube.

Kevorkian was hospitalized on 18 May 2011 with kidney problems and pneumonia. There were no artificial attempts to keep him alive and his death was painless.
